If you are an iPhone user, you can't deny the fact that many iOS-based applications are quite useful and powerful, such as Voice Memos. With this application in iPhone, people can orally record everything important lest they might forget in the future. For example, you can record an exciting lecture by using this application; you can take down important notes by means of this application instead of using the traditional method like writing on a piece of paper. More convenient, right? Well, since not all are fully aware how to record voice memos, this passage will be mainly divided into two parts. Part one tells how to operate Voice Memos on iPhone; part two tells how to recover deleted voice memos from iPhone.
Part One: How to Operate Voice Memo on iPhone

1. Record iPhone Voice Memo. First of all, tap on the Voice Memos icon on the Home screen. After that, the microphone icon will pop up as pictured below. The needle in the audio level meter, symbolizing the recording level, moves as Voice Memo detects sounds. Typically, the loudest level on the meter be between –3dB and 0dB, so you can adjust your distance to the microphone according to your real cases. A clock at the top of the screen indicates how long your recording session is lasting.
2. Listen to iPhone Voice Memo. After finishing the recording, tap on button to the right of the audio level meter. A list of all your recordings pops up in chronological order, with the most recent memo on top. Then it will automatically start to play from the newest to the oldest. (Tips: If you don’t hear anything after tapping play, tap the Speaker button in the upper-left corner of the screen. Sound will pump through the built-in iPhone speaker.)
3. Trim iPhone Voice Memo. If you just want to save a part of the recording, you can trim the targeted iPhone voice memo beforehand. First of all, tap the right-pointing arrow next to the memo you want to trim, and then tap Trim Memo. A narrow, blue tube representing the recording appears inside a yellow bar. Drag the edges of this audio region to adjust the start and end points of the memo. You can preview your edit before tapping the Trim Voice Memo button by tapping the little play button. After that, you can save the trimmed voice memo on your iPhone.
Part Two: How to Recover Lost Voice Memos from iPhone
