Help! When I want to listen to the lyrical songs stored in my iPod, only to find that I have forgotten my iPod password. Now, it gets locked! Does anyone know an easy way to unlock my iPod Touch? Thanks in advance!

The case mentioned in the above is not foreign to many people, especially those who are forgetful. On one hand, iPod users want to set a password, so as to protect their iPod devices; on the other hand, when complex password is set, chances are that they may forget the password and lock their iPod Touch. Now, let's have a look at the possible solutions to this problem.

Solution 1: Unlock with the Primary Computer

As long as you have the primary computer that your iPod Touch has synched, you can use this way to unlock your iPod Touch in one click. The detailed steps are as follows:

Step 1. Connect your iPod to the primary computer, which means the first computer that you have synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.

Step 2. Open iTunes and sync the iPod to your computer as normal.

Step 3. Now, disconnect your iPod to the computer. Then your iPod will automatically get unlocked as you remove it from the computer.

So you can have access to your iPod again. After that, you are free to enjoy your iPod Touch to listen to beautiful music, to take photos memorizing exciting moments. If you find that your iPod is running slow, you can follow this guide to speed up your iPod Touch to the best!

But if unfortunately, you have never synched your iPod Touch the the computer or you just don't have the primary computer at your hand. You can follow the below solution.

Solution 2: Unlock by Restoring iPod Touch

Before adopting this method, you have to be fully aware that this solution will erase all your files from iPod Touch without possibility of being recovered. Therefore, you should form the habit of transferring files from iPod Touch to computer, so as to save them on the computer as a backup. Below is the guide:

Step 1. Restore the iPod to factory settings if you can't unlock your iPod after trying the two ways mentioned above. This erases all of the data on your iPod.

Step 2. Connect your iPod to the new computer designated as the primary computer. Open iTunes and click on the "Restore" button.

Step 3. Reload your data, if it is available and sync your iPod.

It is highly suggested to set a combination which is relatively easy for you to remember. Or otherwise, you will find that this feature of Screen Lock always locks you out of your own iPod. Pretty ridiculous, right? Now, let's learn how to set password for your iPod Touch!

Extra Bonus: Set Password for Your iPod Touch

1. Open your iPod Touch and then enter the "Extras" screen.

2. Scroll down to the "Screen Lock" option and then enter the "Lock" interface.

3. Now, you will see the third interface. Just set an easy-to-remember yet secure password as you needed.

Now, you have successfully set the password for your iPod Touch. Next time when your iPod Touch is locked, you can unlock it by entering the exact combination. If the combination is correct, the iPod unlocks and displays the screen you were on before you locked it.
