In the twenty-first century, almost everyone relies on smart phones for so many different functions, both professional and personal. There are numerous smart phone options all with their own individual operating systems. Two of the most common operating systems in smart phones are Android and Windows Phone, and they both have individual properties that make them a good fit for different users. But at times people want to transfer files, most commonly music, between these two phones but their operating systems make it difficult. So many people find themselves constantly asking how to transfer music from Android to Windows phone.

While it may seem daunting, the process can actually be quite simple. If you have access to a computer, connect both the Android phone and the Windows phone to the computer. Both of the phones will appear as removable drives and access to all of the devices' folders is granted. From here, it is easy to copy and pass the music files from the Android phone to the Windows phone. If the Windows phone is running software any older than Windows 8.1, users might see a little bit more of a delay but with the growing presence of Windows 8.1 on these phones, this problem is becoming minimized.

If you cannot find a computer nearby and there is still confusion about how to transfer music from Android to Windows phone, there are some options. The most effective option is using the application called Feem to complete the file transfer. The process is as follows:

Step 1: Download the Feem application onto both the Windows phone and the Android phone.

Step 2: Connect the Android phone and the Windows phone to the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 3: Open the Feem application on both phones.

Step 4: In time, the Feem application will scan for "peers" and any device that the Feem network recognizes will appear on the list.

Step 5: On the left side of the screen of the Android phone, hit the icon in the shape of a right-facing arrow.

Step 6: On the right side of the screen, a list of files contained on the phone will appear. Find the music files that you want to transfer to the Windows phone and highlight them.

Step 7: Above the advertisement at the bottom of the screen, there is another right-facing arrow icon. Hit that icon.

Step 8: Choose the device, in this case the Windows phone, that you wish to transfer the music files to, and the transfer is underway.

When the transfer is complete, all of the desired music files selected from the Android phone will be on the Windows Phone. Users should feel a sense of comfort in the fact that there are multiple methods of how to transfer music from Android to Windows phone.
